Yes. Install the latest version from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Also ensure your phone's location services are set correctly and battery optimization for the app is disabled. ### Do I have to pay for Cardo Ride to use the app? No. Cardo Ride is available in a free Basic version and a PRO version with monthly and yearly subscriptions. New sign-ups are automatically Basic; PRO is opt-in and billed via the respective app store. ### I found a straight line in my recorded trip - what can I do? This usually indicates GPS data was missing during recording. To fix: **iPhone:** 1. Open the Settings app. 2. Scroll to **Cardo Ride**. 3. Open **Location** and set it to **Always**. 4. Go back one step and enable **Background App Refresh**. **Android:** 1. Open Settings -> **Apps** / **Manage Apps**. 2. Navigate to **Cardo Ride**. 3. Open **Permissions**. 4. Set Location to **While using the app**. On Android, also disable battery-saving modes - they can prevent the app from receiving location updates in the background. To check the in-app battery setting: 1. Open the Cardo Ride app. 2. Go to **More -> Settings**. 3. Scroll to **App optimization**. A green checkmark means you're set; otherwise tap "Go to settings" -> **All apps** -> scroll to Cardo Ride -> **Not optimized**. ### How can I add my bike to the garage? Go to your profile (**More -> My profile**) and tap **Garage**. Tap the plus symbol to add a bike. You can assign bikes to trips and see total kilometers and trips per motorcycle. If your bike is missing, send a suggestion or contact support. ### What is PackRide and how do I use it? PackRide lets you ride with friends while seeing their live position, and notifies you if someone falls behind. To start one, begin your trip and tap the **PackRide** section on the start button; nearby riders can then join your Pack. You can also start a PackRide mid-ride from the menu icon at the bottom-center of the screen. To join an existing PackRide, tap the red banner at the top of the screen or open the menu. ### How do I delete my Cardo Ride account? Log in at riserapp.com and go to **Settings**, or in the mobile app go to **More -> Account and Settings -> Delete Account**. Deletion is permanent and all data is erased. ### How do I cancel my Cardo Ride PRO subscription? Cancel via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store directly: - iPhone: "Canceling a subscription on the App Store" (Apple Support) - Android: "Canceling a subscription on Google Play" (Google Support) If you'd like to share feedback about cancellation, contact support. ### The app shows my distance in kilometers but I want miles! The profile ranking reflects activity: tracked rides, comments and likes given, and the size of your follower/following network all contribute. ### Can I become a Cardo Ride ambassador? Cardo Ride has ambassadors worldwide. Apply by emailing support and explaining why you'd like to join the ambassador program. ### I have an idea for a feature - whom should I contact? Email support. The team improves Cardo Ride based on community feedback. ### How to report abusive behavior If you encounter content or activity that involves child exploitation, abuse, or endangerment: - Use the **Report Content** option directly within the app, **or** - Email the dedicated safety team (see support contact below). The Terms apply to the RISER / Cardo Ride mobile apps (iOS and Android), the web platform at `www.riserapp.com`, and all of its subdomains. ### 1. General RISER is a web-based platform and connected mobile application focused on collecting and publicizing motorcycle-relevant information at `riserapp.com` and via the mobile app. RISER's stated aim is to make motorcycling more fun by providing a platform to connect like-minded people, share route information, and stay informed on relevant topics. Each user controls which personal information is visible to other users. ### 2. Application of the TOS By registering, the user explicitly accepts the TOS and confirms having read and understood them. Use of the platform requires explicit agreement. Changes to the TOS are possible at any time and are published at `www.riserapp.com/en/terms`. ### 3. Object of Agreement (key functions) The mobile apps and web platform provide, among other things: - **Newsfeed (Feed):** own and friends' activities/trips and added motorcycles, sponsored posts, and ads. - **My Roadbook:** own trips and segments, plus segments from other users. - **My Profile:** name, profile/cover image (optional), bike(s), statistics, trip list, friends, photos, roadbook. - **Friends:** list of friends and pending friendship requests. - **My Photos:** photos taken during or added to trips, sorted by trip and date; visibility follows the privacy level of the trip. - **Discover:** find motorcycle-relevant segments nearby with duration, length, climb/fall, and descriptive badges. - **Facebook sharing:** opt-in only; no automatic sharing. - **Notifications** on likes and comments. - **Live weather:** 8-hour weather forecast for the current location (no liability for accuracy). - **Getaways:** user-created group rides with duration (short spin / day trip / journey), driving style (cruising / dynamic / sporty), start and end time, meeting point, title, description, and a preview image. The creator is solely responsible for legal compliance and content accuracy. - **Auto-Pause:** automatic GPS-tracking pause detection; users can manually end pauses. - **Adventure Navigator:** algorithmic route suggestions with turn-by-turn navigation. - **Offline Maps:** downloaded maps for areas without internet connectivity. - **Live Tracking:** secret link sharing the user's current location with chosen recipients. - **reWind:** integrates driven trips into an interactive 3D map for reliving and sharing. - **PackRide:** create or join group rides with live position sharing and fall-behind notifications. **PRO members get unlimited PackRides; Basic users are limited to 30 minutes per PackRide**, after which the app returns to standard trip recording. The web platform also includes product presentations, news, about/team, partners, ads, contact, TOS, and privacy policy. Newsletter signup is opt-in with an unsubscribe link in every email. ### 4. Registration - Registration is free and grants Basic membership automatically. - A test mode (iOS and Android only) is available without registration; trips recorded in test mode are transferred to the account upon later registration. - Registration is reserved for natural persons and only fully legally competent individuals. **Minors require written parental approval** sent to support. - One account per user. Available methods: form-based (email, password, last and first name) or Facebook Connect. - RISER may refuse or delete accounts without stating a reason; deletion removes all corresponding data. ### 5. Terms for PRO Users & Payment - Requires an existing Cardo Ride / RISER account. - Purchase is via the Apple App Store / Google Play Store (in-app), or via `riserapp.com` (web), where payments are processed by **Stripe** (RISER does not store credit card data; the connection is SSL-secured). - Two billing options: **monthly** or **yearly**. - Subscriptions are paid in advance and **auto-renew** for the same period unless cancelled before the end of the current term. - Cancellation is possible at any time; already-paid amounts are not refunded; access continues until the period ends. - Yearly subscribers may use a one-time **14-day free trial**. Cancelling within the trial returns the account to free Basic with no charge. ### 6. Abuse Users must protect their login data. Suspected abuse should be reported to support; RISER may block affected or abusive accounts. ### 7. Account Cessation Users may delete their account at any time via the mobile app or web platform settings (one confirmation required; deletion is permanent and irrecoverable). RISER may also block or delete accounts that grossly violate the TOS. ### 8. User Duties and Rights - Provide truthful registration information and protect it from third parties. - Do not store, spread, or transmit abusive, discriminatory, or violence-glorifying content. - Only post content the user owns or is licensed to post; the user is solely responsible and indemnifies RISER against copyright claims. - Do not copy or distribute other users' content without permission. - RISER assumes no liability for lost or damaged data; users must back up their own data. - Sanctions for violations range from warnings to permanent exclusion. - RISER may delete user-created content without stating a reason and does not guarantee accuracy of shared content (e.g. routes). ### 9. Privacy Registration is conditional on agreement to the Privacy Policy at `www.riserapp.com/en/privacy`. Only the German version is binding. ### 10-11. Warranty and Liability - RISER does not warrant permanent availability or accuracy of data. Use of the platform and apps is at the user's own risk. - RISER assumes no liability for: data accuracy from other users, external links and ads, smartphone damage from use while driving, or accuracy of routes, segments, or recorded activities. - RISER is liable only for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence. In cases of slight negligence, liability toward companies is excluded; liability toward consumers is limited to injury of life, body, or health. ### 12. Hold-Harmless Agreement Users hold RISER harmless from third-party claims caused by user-uploaded content, including legal defense costs, except where a violation is not attributable to the user's culpable acting. Users must inform RISER immediately of any third-party claims and provide all necessary information. ### 13. Changes to the TOS RISER may adapt the TOS at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance; users who reject changes must stop using the services. ### 14. Does not apply to third-party websites linked from Cardo properties. Use of the Website/App/Services constitutes consent to the Privacy Policy. Cardo may modify the Policy at any time; changes are effective 10 days after posting. ### Information Collected 1. **Account info for Cardo Community:** screen name/handle (public), and information used to pair Cardo devices. Public profile data is accessible to Cardo. 2. **Information you provide on registration:** name, email, language, country, and optionally gender, year/date of birth, Cardo headset serial number, helmet/vehicle details, purchase date and store. Connect Mobile App registration may be via email, Google, or Apple. The Cardo Update Desktop App requires registration to fetch firmware updates; when a Cardo device is connected, Cardo may access the unique user ID, app installation details (install time, platform, OS, app version), FW versions, and device details. 3. **Riser App trip data (when a trip is recorded and saved to the roadbook):** GPS location, speed, accelerometer, gyroscope, and barometer (if available on the phone). 4. **Cardo Connect group call recordings:** users initiating a call recording must alert other participants; a voice announcement is played when recording starts. Cardo has no access to the recordings; recording use is at the user's sole responsibility. 5. **Device usage statistics** (e.g. how many users listen to music while riding), aggregated and anonymous; device serial numbers may link to users but analysis is anonymized. 6. **User submissions:** comments on trips, sections, motorcycles, posts, likes, and conversations on the Website and Apps, plus the IP address and geographic location of the user. 7. **Web purchases:** credit card and billing data; third-party payment processors may be involved. 8. **App purchases:** subscription purchases via Apple App Store or Google Play Store; payment data is handled by Apple/Google and is **not accessible to Cardo**. 9. **Cookies, web beacons, and similar tracking** on the Website. Cookies can be controlled via browser settings. 10. **Analytics tools:** - **Google Analytics** (Website) - **Google Firebase** and **Microsoft App Center** (Apps) - **Amplitude** for Riser App funnel tracking - **Fabric** (Google) for Riser App usability tracking Each tool runs on an anonymous basis; opt-out instructions are linked from the privacy policy. 11. **Log data:** IP, browser, request timestamps, etc., used for analytics, diagnostics, session identification, and demographic information. 12. **User communications:** emails, mailing list additions, group postings. 13. **Unique identifiers:** assigned at signup. 14. **Third-party applications** may identify users where Cardo determines doing so improves the portal/website. 15. **Online presence tracking:** Cardo Community records when a user is logged in. 16. **Clickstream data:** server-collected information about page visits and navigation patterns. 17. **Emails sent to Cardo** may be saved for future reference (do not include sensitive data like bank info). 18. **Google and Facebook social-login integrations:** Cardo collects publicly available profile information when connected. ### Use of Information - Provide and improve the Website, App, Products, and Services. - Send marketing and product-update emails (with one-click unsubscribe). - Process payments and price quotes. - Develop customer relationships and understand customer needs. - Operate, configure, and update Cardo devices. - Add users as contacts to Cardo's Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts (opt-out by removing Cardo from those accounts). ### Information Sharing - Cardo makes commercially reasonable efforts to protect against unauthorized sharing. - Information may be shared to comply with law, enforce the TOS, prevent fraud, or protect rights/safety/property. - Information is shared within the Cardo Group for support (Riser App support requests are forwarded to the Cardo Group support team) and marketing. - Service providers (IT vendors, ticketing systems, App and Website servers, cloud vendors such as **CloudZone**, plugins such as **Crashlytics, OpenStreetMap, Mapbox, GetSentry**) may receive the minimum information necessary under confidentiality and adequate privacy protection. - Data may be transferred internationally; users who object should not submit data. ### Choices and Privacy Settings - Public profile visibility: first/last name, profile picture, cover image, friends list, and motorcycle (each optional / configurable). - Use a handle to remain anonymous to other users. - Riser App privacy settings let users choose **private / friends / public** visibility for trips, getaways, Live Tracking, and reWind. - Facebook sharing is opt-in via hand-selection only. - Users may decline to provide information at any time but may lose access to certain features. ### Children's Privacy - Cardo does not intentionally target the Website to **minors under 16**. - Minors require consent from a parent, guardian, teacher, or librarian. - If Cardo learns it has collected information from a minor, that information is deleted. ### Security Cardo follows generally accepted industry standards but cannot guarantee 100% security of internet transmissions; use is at the user's own risk. ### Advertising and External Links Cardo may advertise on the portal/website. Third-party links leave Cardo's site and have their own privacy practices. ### Opting Out and Data Subject Rights Users may opt out, have data erased, or exercise rights (access, correction, etc.) under applicable law by emailing Cardo support or calling **1-800-488-0363**. ### CCPA / California Notice Under California Civil Code Sec.1789.3, the Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs may be contacted at 1625 N. Under the **CCPA**, California residents may request disclosure, deletion, and opt-out of sale of personal information; **Cardo does not sell personal information**.
